“Those who lose two children, Allah will enter them [the parents] into Jannah”

Sayyidatuna ‘Aaishah رضي الله عنها then asked, ‘What about those who lose one child only’?

Rasulullah ﷺ replied, ‘O the one who has been inspired [to ask such questions], they too will receive the same reward’…”

Anas (RA) reported:
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Allah will be pleased with His slave who praises Him (i.e., says Al-hamdu lillah) when he eats and praises Him when he drinks". [Muslim].

If a person expresses his gratitude to Allah for food, which besides being a source of nourishment is enjoyable for him, he gets a reward for it and thus even eating can become rewardable too.

How can impure butter or oil be purified?

The impure butter or oil should be boiled in an equal amount of water. The butter or oil left upon the surface of the water may then be removed and boiled again in like manner twice. The butter or oil will then be considered as being pure after the third boil.

Weekly Q & A

Q. After takbeer tahreema, I've seen 2 ways that persons bring down their hands to fold below the navel. Some move their hands straight from their earlobes to below their navel in one movement. Others loosen their hands to their sides (as we do after ruku) and thereafter bring their hands upwards to fold below their navel.

Similar is the case when praying Witr. In the 3rd Rakaat, the hands are folded before raising for Takbeer for Qunoot. Must one loosen his hands to the side, then raise them to his earlobes, then loosen again to the side and then fold them? Or should one move his hands straight from the folded position to the earlobes and straight back to the folding position?

Which way is correct?

(Question published as received)

A. After Takbeer, a person should immediately fold the hands without letting them drop to the side. (Shaami vol. 1 pg 487)
When making Takbeer for Qunoot, the hands are raised immediately and folded immediately thereafter. The hands should not be dropped to the side. (Hindiyyah vol.1 pg. 111)
