ππ *NABEEDH : SUNNAH TONIC MADE WITH EITHER RAISINS OR DATES*
π Nabeedh was one of the common drinks consumed by our beloved Prophet Muhammad (SallAllahu ‘alaihi wa sallam). It is made either with *dates or raisins,* but raisin Nabeedh is more refreshing especially in summer.
π Ummul Mu’minin, ‘Aisha (Radiallahu Anna) would steep rasins or dates for the Apostle of Allah (SalAllahu ‘alaihi Wa sallam) *in the morning. When the evening came, he took his dinner and drank it after his dinner.* If anything remained, *she poured it out.* She then would steep for him at night. When the morning came, he took his morning meal and drank it after his morning meal. (Sunan Abu Dawood)
ππ Softened raisins release their vitamins and minerals more easily and are easier to digest. Manaqqa’ yellows are the best variety of raisins for making Nabeedh. *Our A-Grade organic fleshy rasins are carefully chosen from the best vineyards of the Cape to provide the most nutritional drink.*

But if it is kept air-tight inside a refrigerator, it will not spoil for 2-3 days. *Don’t consume it at all after 3 days,* but discard it. (Sahih Muslim Book 23 Hadith 4974)
β Never mix raisins & dates together; their Nabeedh should be made separately.
ππ Serve *cold Nabeedh to your guests instead of tea, coffee, juices and sodas*, and explain to them the beauty of the Sunnah.
